I'm so proud of myself.. And here's why!

It's amazing how strong the human spirit can be, and it's something to be proud of. I think it's strange how uncomfortable it is to say out loud that we are proud of ourselves, nevertheless I am still super awkward about anything that isn't self deprecating humor. I'm working on it I swear! But right now I have no qualms in saying YOU DID THAT! I don't want to say too much before everything is finalized but my hard work will be released very soon. The story and overall experience I have been working on has been so challenging but incredibly therapeutic as well. It's the most vulnerable I have ever felt putting the crazy world I have built in my head onto paper for the world to see. This was my safe place for almost 15 years, a place I escaped to that was mine, and no one else's. I literally grew up with my main character, writing her personality and growth organically from a small child to a young woman. I have been inspired and shaped by so much in that wide time span and I feel like my work will reflect that. Like I said I have a vision for an entirely unique story telling experience for everyone! My goal is to capture the audience that LOVES epic fantasy stories like Game of Thrones.. But may not have the attention span for a 3 font size, 900,000 page, George R. R. Martin novel. If you are someone who loves any story regardless of the length or style I want you to be able to connect with my words in a fresh new way! At the end of the day I want my readers to feel how authentic this story is for me. I have cracked up laughing, balled my fists in absolute disgust, and actually fell into a dark period of depression while writing and I hope you feel my emotions bleed through the page and capture you in some way. I plan on revealing ALL the details when I have the final copy in my hands, I just wanted to give a small taste of what is to come.. And I think you are really going to enjoy it!
